- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the Dowling Phototherapy team
- Clinically lead nursing care throughout the various patient pathways
- Provide education and support throughout the junior doctor rotation
- Provide education to the nursing teams, responsible for the education pathway of staff
- Enable collaboration across the multi-disciplinary teams through complex decision making
- Manage risk thus enabling the services to meet changing population,patient, and service delivery needs.
- Transformation, quality and improvement initiatives to develop the services.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior nurse to take on a clinical and professional leadership role at the Dowling Phototherapy Unit, part of the internationally renowned St. John's Institute of Dermatology.
We are seeking a dynamic individual with proven experience in a senior clinical leadership role, who can demonstrate a track record of enhancing both patient and staff experience within a complex healthcare environment. The Dowling Phototherapy team delivers a range of treatments--including Narrowband UVB, PUVA, and UVA1--to adult and paediatric patients referred from general and specialist dermatology clinics. The service also supports the Patient-Initiated Follow-Up (PIFU) pathway, including nurse-led clinics focused on prescribing phototherapy and medicines management for conditions such as vitiligo and photobiology.
You will be expected to deliver compassionate, visible leadership and foster a culture of excellence. Your ability to drive service improvements while maintaining a strong focus on patient-centred care is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multi-professional boundaries are key.
