      Job Description

      The Advisor for DIY Programs is responsible for the strategic creation, management, and implementation of national programs. This role proactively monitors, manages, and mitigates risks associated with brand, legal, and financial aspects of the organization. The Advisor will oversee research, recruitment, reputation management, training, and the sustained cultivation of key external and internal relationships. A focus on continuous improvement through performance metrics analysis, test-and-learn opportunities, speed-to-market strategies, and post-delivery evaluation is essential.

      Key Responsibilities:

      Strategic Planning and Execution:

      • Identify key initiatives supporting ALSAC’s strategic plan.
      • Oversee the execution of area plans to ensure alignment with business objectives and enhance St. Jude's fundraising efforts.

      Risk Management:

      • Operate within established budgetary parameters.
      • Utilize problem-solving skills to address issues collaboratively and effectively.

      Program Management:

      • Manage day-to-day program aspects, including training on measurable strategies and progressive priorities to build market penetration.
      • Maintain adherence to program core standards and policies.
      • Optimize cost containment opportunities through local, regional, and national sponsorships aligned with fiscal objectives.
      • Ensure timeline management controls.

      Marketing and Communication:

      • Create market mailing schedules and determine mail selects through detailed performance metrics analysis and target audience segmentation.
      • Collaborate with marketing partners to develop all printed campaign-related materials.

      Legal and Regulatory Compliance:

      • Work directly with the Legal Department on all regulatory or legal protocols and safeguards related to the assigned program area.

      Stakeholder Collaboration:

      • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities and communicate insights to appropriate teams or individuals.

      Representation:

      • Represent ALSAC-St. Jude Children's Research Hospital positively in all areas.
      • Attend industry functions and interact with industry professionals.

      Knowledge and Skills:

      • Experience with internal communication, budgeting, and special events fundraising.
      • Strategic planning, cross-team communication and collaboration, relationship management, content review and editing, and digital optimization opportunities.
      • Knowledge of the active lifestyle industry is a plus.
      • Clear and effective communication skills for internal and external relations.
      • Understanding of data processing applications.
      • Ability to comprehend complex verbal or written instructions.
      • Demonstrated ability to influence others.
      • 5 years of relevant experience, bachelor's degree preferred.
