      JOB TITLE/LOCATION:

      Quality Engineer – Santa Ana, CA

      DESCRIPTION:

      The QE is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet quality standards, by participating in the designing, developing, and implementing quality control measures.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

      • Primarily responsible for quality requirements of General Electric hardware.
      • Must have experience in eCAV, VSE/SPS, GE yellow pages, GE Purchase Order requirements, and GE DSQR.
      • Primary activities included are Contract Review, Manufacturing review, Special Process Review, SPS submittals,
      • Dimension inspection, Certification review on material and special process, Shipment release, DSQR activities,
      • First Article Inspection Report, Interfacing with GE personnel.
      • Support Quality dept in AS9100 system activities Internal Audits, Corrective Actions, Continuous Improvement, Performance reports and Metrics.
      • Support Quality dept in AS13100 activities – MSA (Gage R&R), PFMEA, PPAP

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • High school diploma or GED required.
      • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
      • Minimum 5 years of relevant Quality experience in aerospace metal chip cutting manufacturing facility.
      • Must work well with people and be task oriented.
      • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

      PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS:

      • The employee generally works indoors, where they are regularly exposed to moving parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
      • Due to the machinery in use, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
      • To facilitate the machining process, the employee regularly stands, uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaches with hands and arms and talks or hears.
      • Must be able to lift and/or move 20 lbs unaided.
      • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
      • The incumbent must remain alert to prevent injury to him or herself and/or the equipment parts.
      • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs.

      Pay Range: $72,000 to $83,000/annual
