Hybrid Working

At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. • Gap/Opportunities/InterlockThe Change Delivery Manager will be fundamental in setting up and embedding new ways of working by coaching squad members and educating the wider team (managers and stakeholders) on managing change applied to all areas of the team including analytics, BAU reporting and advisory services - helping team members to organise themselves and work in the most effective manner. This role will also cover the typical project management duties and, as such monitoring, sharing and evaluating delivery and measuring progress to ensure value is delivered early and often.
As the Change Delivery Management Guild grows within Strategy, Portfolio & Performance - the successful candidate for this role will need to draw from their previous experience project managing a multidisciplinary team, combining methodologies (for example: Agile, Waterfall, Lean and Kanban) to create a bespoke delivery method which satisfies stakeholders whilst improving team ways of working and developing individuals within the team. This will ensure a good balance between technical expertise and domain experience, so delivery methods can be successfully implemented within the wider People Analytics & Culture team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to enrich their project management expertise, gained within a business and customer insight environment.
What will you be doing?
• Joint accountability for the delivery of projects alongside the Product Manager or Insights Consultant
• Accountable for the day to day running of a project squad and facilitating project kick off sessions, scrum sessions: sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, sprint demos and stand-ups.
• Responsible for coaching and mentoring the team to apply change management best practice to analytics, reporting and insights delivery.
• Responsible and accountable for documenting the project updates in JIRA as the project moves through different stages in the E2E analytics process.
• Responsible and accountable for generating, publishing and reporting against a high-level project status as well as maintaining RAIDs and escalating any issues to senior management as required.
• Accountable for documenting status reports, business flows and other documents as required.
• Accountable for technical dependencies and the resolution of them.
• Accountable for managing delivery following Agile, Waterfall and Lean best practice.
• Proactively address distractions, disruptions, and obstacles during sprints so that the team can run efficiently and is free to focus on producing insights.
• Work with the Product Manager or Insights Consultant and the squad delivery team to prioritise the backlog and build sprint plans
Secondary Accountabilities
• Support the Head of SP&P with the transformation of our transaction cycle
• Responsible for coaching team members to record tasks in JIRA and upload meeting notes and project outputs on Confluence/Shared drives
• Together with the Product Manager or Insights Consultant and the delivery squad, create clear metrics to track progress of the team and report to stakeholders.
• Responsible for creating a shared understanding of problems/ambiguous planning items and a complex technical architecture - across all team members, through the use of workshops, MS Teams and scribing skills
• Responsible for sensing team morale and supporting team members in resolving disputes and escalating where appropriate
• Manage workload of up to 2 Squads simultaneously, ensuring the team delivers tasks on time and with managed stakeholder expectations
• Managing your own workload to be transparent, prioritise accordingly and making good use of personal development time to improve yourself
• Working with the Change Delivery Lead to plan for the future of the Change Delivery Guild – new methodologies, techniques and how to embed change best practices into the core of the team so that it becomes second nature to People Analytics and Culture team membersWhat we’re looking for:
• Project Management experience gained within a multidisciplinary team within a large corporate organisation
• Any Bachelor’s degree with Project Management experience
• Experience planning the workload of teams from a day to day point of view, milestone plans and managing the capacity of the sprints to ensure successful delivery (cohesion of the day to day running of squads, creativity to resolve impediments, enforce timeboxes, improve maturity of the squad, building trust and a safe environment, etc.).
• Experience working in environments with digital toolsets and open source technologies.
• Experience with at least 1 of area of change delivery: Waterfall, Agile, Lean, Kanban and other delivery methodologies and having tailored them to help the team improve the quality of its delivery
• Experience in designing, setting up and running processes
• Experience generating, publishing and reporting against a high-level project status as well as maintaining RAIDs and escalating any issues to senior management as required.
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience managing projects within newly established teams where processes are being shaped.
• Agile delivery experience. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to enrich their project management experience with the use of agile methodologies and techniques as well as scrum master processes
• Lean delivery experience. The successfully candidate will have an opportunity to enrich their project management experience with the use of Lean methodologies and techniques
• Experience working with HR teams (e.g. talent management, reward, organisational development, etc.)
• Experience in managing technical delivery using old and new software engineering practices, including devops, technical architecture and operations
• Experience, understanding and exposure to machine learning and predictive modelling concepts (not necessarily hands on experience)
• Experience, understanding and exposure to analytical reporting, data management, surveying and data products
• Experience customising and using JIRA and Confluence as the main tools for workflow process management of analytics projects, business process, contiuous improvement, technology and product delivery
• Experience in resolving team conflict to reach a win win situation and build strong working relationships between team members
