Job Description

- Coordinates project startup and planning for projects within an IT portfolio of products.
- Apply Agile and Project Management methodologies within the CSX IT Governance framework.
- Coordinates stakeholders through the development and project life cycles, leveraging Agile and PM skills.
- Conducts Agile ceremonies as necessary to ensure delivery.
- Contributes to initiative reporting; supports the activities of a project team.
- Reviews project deliverables.
- Applies skills to enable adherence to CSX standards.
- Provides reporting aligned to project and portfolio objectives. Tracks deliverables progress.
- Documents and maintain entries in the risk register.
- Maintains responsibility for project activities and reporting through to closure.
- May be asked or invited to serve as a contributor, influencer, thought-leader etc on team, function or enterprise initiatives, as business opportunity and individual experience/interest/needs dictate.
- Familiarity with Project Management concepts and Agile Methodologies (including Scrum and Kanban)
- Ability to lead with direction
- Practiced at independently applying Project Management and Agile to ensure delivery

- While the matrix above details some differentiation and key areas of knowledge and skill, additionally team members will participate in development and communities of practice to cultivate a Lean/Agile mindset with ability to navigate complex scenarios and discern best approach (people, processes, and tools) to ensure CSX delivery; continuous improvement approaches using data and measurement; risk management techniques to capture and assess likelihood and severity.
- Tooling utilized in these roles includes: Jira, Confluence, MS Office 365 (particularly, strong Excel skills), Data Visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau)
- Bachelor's Degree/4 Year Degree
- 1 or more years of experience in managing or leading IT projects / delivery teams.
- Advanced Degree
- Certifications, which may include ACP, CSM, CSPO, or PMP
- Business Analysis, Product Engineering, Product Management, Agile Project Management
- Work hours may vary in length and schedule (may include a non-standard work week)
Agile Project Manager II
Job Summary
Agile Project Managers directly interface with other leaders in support of business and technical outcomes in the CSX core business and technology development areas. Responsible for project value delivery in support of business and IT products and objectives, using capabilities in Agile and Project Management. Primarily focus on project team efforts and deliveries in the immediate/current quarter, applying significant focus to drive the realization of the near-term project objectives aligned to larger strategic goals.
