TUI Group is the world’s number one integrated tourism business. Within TUI Group, TUI Airline regroups all airline activities across UK, Nordics, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Morocco, France, and the Dutch Antilles. Fleet & Capacity Management is a function within our airline organisation responsible for ensuring that, across the TUI AOCs, we have the right aircraft accessible at the best possible economics, in order to meet operational needs and give the best experience to our customers. The Fleet & Capacity Management function operates as a multi-disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.
As Manager - Fleet Management, your focus will be to develop and manage various Group fleet plans for the ~130 aircraft in the fleet, engaging with stakeholders across the business on fleet-related topics. You will also lead the evaluation of aircraft to identify those which best meet TUI Group’s requirements, making recommendations for the acquisition, retention or disposal of assets and preparing associated business cases. In this role, you’ll report to the Head of Group Fleet Management.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Manager - Fleet Management, your key responsibilities will be to:
• Assist the Head of Group Fleet Management in preparation and maintenance of a Strategic Group Fleet plan for long term planning of TUI Group’s fleet.
• Develop and maintain a five-year fleet plan aligned to Tour Operator capacity demands (in close liaison with Aviation Planning). This will be used to support the Budget & three-year plan process.
• Lead the preparation of operational fleet plans for the various TUI Group airlines down to a weekly level, where needed, for the next two seasons, to optimise fleet requirements and opportunities.
• Ensure the maintenance of various fleet-related databases used to support aircraft evaluations and other fleet-related decision-making.
• Coordinate aircraft scenario analyses for comparing cost of lease extensions versus returning aircraft and/or taking market aircraft, including maintenance fly forward models.
• Lead the evaluation of the commercial, financial and operational implications of wet-lease / charter aircraft versus in-house aircraft to fulfil Tour Operator demand and lead the produce vs buy decisions (at a whole aircraft, whole season level).
• Ensure that timely decisions and business cases are made for the usage of contractual terms on Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and finance contracts e.g. purchase options / lease extension options / call options.
• Lead the development of fleet-related business cases such as for aircraft financings, lease extensions, aircraft replacements, modification programmes etc.
• Manage aircraft / fleet evaluation processes for analysis of different aircraft types suitable to meet TUI’s operational requirements including performance, operating economics synergies with existing TUI aircraft, and commercial opportunities, by working closely with source market Aviation Planning Directors, E&M, Flight Ops and other stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project plans for new aircraft programmes (up to but not including Entry into Service).
ABOUT YOU

• Ability to influence throughout the organisation
• Ability to translate highly complex scenarios into clear, concise, fact-based decisions and effectively communicate to a variety of stakeholders
• Record of delivery to tight deadlines with effective project / programme management skills.
