What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure compliance of all Alternative Learning Environment (ALE) buildings with regulations and guidelines
- Summarize yearly reports to the state for program approval for K-12 programs
- Provide a curriculum focusing on academic, social, and behavioral interventions for students
- Supervise and evaluate all certified and classified staff at the virtual school
- Collaborate with building principals regarding student concerns, transfers, and curriculum implementation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must hold a master’s degree in school administration
- Administrative certification is required
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience
- Knowledge of course codes, DESE rules and regulations, and effective digital learning models
- Familiarity with district policies, local policies, and state and federal laws relating to students and staff
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in supervising educational staff in a virtual learning environment
- Strong background in curriculum development and instructional strategies
- Proven ability to implement professional development programs for faculty and staff
- Skills in data management and troubleshooting within digital learning management systems
