What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Practice pharmacy in accordance with laws, rules, and regulations
- Monitor patients in a specific unit/specialty service, collect patient-specific data, and interpret drug-related laboratory data
- Develop, administer, and improve ambulatory pharmacy programs and services
- Initiate, adjust, monitor, and recommend changes in drug therapy
- Coordinate and interpret laboratory monitoring of drug therapy
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required, doctoral degree preferred
- Registration as a Pharmacist in Massachusetts
- 1-3 years of related work experience
- Completion of PGY1 accredited pharmacy residency or 3+ years of clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
- Must obtain one or more certifications within 18 months of hire
- Understanding of insurance and adjudication processes
- Experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Pharmacy residency PGY2 specialty experience/fellowship or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of complex/chronic diseases states and therapies used within specialty pharmacy
