**What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):**
- Monitor and track legislative developments and regulatory changes affecting carbon pricing
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of carbon pricing policies, including cap-and-trade systems and renewable portfolio standards
- Evaluate the economic implications of different pricing mechanisms on businesses and consumers
- Prepare reports, presentations, and policy briefs to communicate findings and carbon policy developments
- Engage with policymakers and industry associations to advocate for effective carbon pricing strategies
**What is Required (Qualifications):**
- At least 3 years' experience in policy analysis or environmental sectors
- Experience analyzing and interpreting government and jurisdictional regulations
- Knowledge of North American climate policies, carbon markets, and renewables
- Experience synthesizing complex regulatory developments into accurate and easily understood content
- Bachelor's degree in environmental policy, economics, or a related field
**How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):**
- Familiarity with carbon markets and renewable energy projects
- Strong networking skills within the North America and Latin America carbon industry
- Experience attending and contributing to industry conferences and government meetings
