What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Establish a compliance program to prevent and detect violations of laws and regulations
- Conduct audits of medical records to validate coding and billing accuracy
- Identify aberrant coding and billing patterns indicative of potential fraud, waste, and abuse
- Generate timely written reports detailing audit findings for internal and external use
- Provide coding education to providers based on guidelines and regulatory requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in healthcare compliance or auditing
- Active and unrestricted coding certification (CPC or CCS)
- Strong analytical skills to identify coding and billing discrepancies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and education

- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field
- 3-5 years of experience in healthcare compliance or auditing
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and coding guidelines
