      The Role

      We are seeking a creative and motivated analyst to drive data-backed insights and strategic decisions through the development of competitive intelligence tools and analytics. Using well designed reports and dashboards, we seek to build compelling analysis that drives scalable business activities, decisions and profit. Reporting to the International Director of Competitive Intelligence, the role will play a key part in defining Christie’s competitive and market data strategy. The role will be responsible for aiding in the development and delivery of analytic tools, working closely with partners across the business to synthesize requirements and support ongoing data-value creation efforts.

      Additionally, the role will be responsible for user support, including managing inquiries, troubleshooting performance issues, and offering analytics consultation services and bespoke analytics as needed. This is a high visibility role, with the opportunity to work closely with teams across the business.

      Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to

      • Support in the development and delivery of new and existing reporting tools

      • Maintain a product backlog and identify opportunities to improve usability and/or support better decision-making and business growth

      • Provide user support and manage inquiries, partnering closely with internal teams to resolve any data or performance issues

      • Actively monitor performance and usability of the tools

      • Monitor and track data quality, collaborating with Technology to improve the accuracy and efficiency of data collection and validation processes

      • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and champion a data-driven culture, highlighting data-driven value creation and instilling best practices

      • Develop enablement material and training resources to drive adoption.

      • Track and analyze tool usage

      • Support ad hoc competitive intelligence data and analytics needs across the business

      • Keep a pulse on the competitive landscape in order to inform the product vision and roadmap

      The Candidate

      • Deep experience working with Tableau or similar a data visualization tool, as well as an interest in data visualization and storytelling

      • SQL experience is a plus

      • PostgreSQL experience is a plus

      • Proficiency in Microsoft office and Window-based applications, including Excel

      • Strong analytic skills and a data-driven mentality

      • Experience with data management; Comfort processing and analyzing unstructured data

      • Knowledge and passion for the art business

      • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical analyses to a broad variety of audiences

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      • Ability to work independently and with teams to solve problems, gather requirements and manage conflicting priorities

      Compensation Range

      Salary: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00
