Job Description

- Under the direction of the Senior Analyst, coordinate and lead special projects related to:
- data management, manipulation, analysis, and interpretation;
- merger and acquisition activity; and
- projects of a strategic & cross-divisional nature.
- Consult with various Finance teams to identify management information requirements and to complete historical financial analysis of valuation targets and comparisons to industry.
- Coordinate and prepare accounting and financial statements, filing requirements and KPIs.
- Perform analysis related to commodity position and counterparty risk.
- Coordinate and gather market intelligence and industry information, and present findings related to data collected within the business & industry.
- Demonstrate critical thinking abilities with the skills and awareness of how different business segments are interconnected.
- Can collaborate with people at all levels, both internal and external to an organization.
- Have advanced computer competency in MS Excel/PowerPoint/Word and proficiency in data analytics.
- Demonstrate effective organizational and time management skills.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the areas of finance and/or accounting in a complex, automated data processing environment.
- Post-secondary degree in Agriculture, Business, or Commerce and completed courses in corporate finance, financial accounting, economics, marketing, and business strategy.
- Pursuing an accounting or finance industry designation.
- While not required, background knowledge in agribusiness or the agriculture sector is considered an asset.

To help us keep the future of agriculture bright, we are seeking an Analyst, Corporate Development to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting corporate development planning initiatives, including conducting research and financial analysis, and providing support to other business units.
This position will also rotate through other departments for exposure and development opportunities.
