      Job Description

      JOB PURPOSE:

      To enable the assessment and credit decisions relating to unsecured credit facilities, credit cards, Personal loans.

      KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

      Retail Credit Appraisals

      • Ensure high and accurate Pre-screening of Cards / Loans applications and analyse credit proposal within the policy guidelines and within acceptable timeframe as per agreed SLA.
      • Ensures discrepancies/ Fraudulent applications are escalated to line Manager and internal Fraud control Unit.
      • Conducts telephonic and / or field verification to check the authenticity of information and documentation provided by the applicant
      • Prepare detailed notes for recommendation and escalate to next level for accurate decisioning.
      • Coordinates with internal customers Business Unit, CAD and collection to ensure adherence to guidelines and that all requests are attended to in a prompt and professional manner and within the agreed timelines. .

      Policies & Procedures

      • Ensures the Preparation, Maintenance and recording of all documents and data relating to loans and Credit facilities in the pre and post approval stages in a systematic manner adhering to requisite legal formalities and internal policies.

      Self- Management Responsibilities

      • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.
      • Identifies training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended.
      • Strives to achieve with the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role.
      • Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through related trainings

      Qualifications

      Minimum Qualification

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, management, Banking or any related discipline.

      Minimum Experience

      • Minimum of 1 years of experience.
