What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform research and analysis of complex healthcare claims, pharmacy, and lab data
- Develop ad-hoc reports using SQL programming and other analytic tools
- Generate and distribute standard reports on schedule
- Analyze data sets for anomalies, outliers, and trends
- Assist with special projects for internal departments and external organizations

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of increasingly complex database and data management responsibilities
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- 2-4 years of experience in quantifying, measuring, and analyzing financial/performance management metrics
- Demonstrated healthcare experience in analyzing financial and utilization metrics

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Preferred experience in Medical Economics
- Strong knowledge of performance indicators and healthcare analytics
- Ability to initiate in-depth analysis of medical cost issues
- Proficiency in Excel, Visio, and Access
- Familiarity with predictive modeling and trend forecasting
