      Analyzer Technician- Port Arthur, Texas

      We are seeking a professional like you to provide technical expertise to the Analyzer Department by utilizing your experience in areas of maintenance, operation and contractor oversight. Analyzer technicians are directly responsible for maintenance, operation, preventive and predictive activities for the Port Arthur sites’ analytical systems.

      As an Analyzer Technician, You Create Chemistry By...

      The successful candidate will work with the Analyzer Team Lead and the Analyzer Technicians. This is to accomplish and document routine maintenance work including:

      • Preventative maintenance
      • Regulatory inspections
      • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and documentation for plant analyzer systems
      • Support all EHS policies and procedures while promoting a safe working environment
      • Track and update assigned tasks in maintenance management system (SAP) on daily basis
      • Cover on-call on a 7-day rotation
      • Capitol project assistance
      • Be willing to work overtime as required
      • Will be required to use appropriate PPE per site policy.
      • Comply with all company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.

      If you...

      Required:

      • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as an analyzer technician and working at the journeyman level
      • Proficiency of chromatography and all associated analyzer systems.
      • Proficiency with Siemens Maxum II Chromatographs required.
      • A working knowledge of CEMS requirements including but not limited to:

      o CGA testing
      o RATA testing
      o Associated documentation with minimal guidance.

      • Working knowledge of non-chromatography related analyzer systems including but not limited to:

      o Silica
      o PH and Conductivity
      o O2
      o LEL
      o Moisture

      • Ability to read and update electrical and instrument documents such as schematics, specifications, P&IDs and one-line diagrams
      • Proficient in use of computers: (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

      Preferred:

      • Associate Degree in Analytical/Instrumentation or equivalate Military Training (plus)
      • Previous Petrochemical experience as a journeyman Analyzer technician
      • Working knowledge of chemical plant equipment and technologies
      • Overall excellent oral and written communication skills
      • Knowledge of SAP data entry used for notification and history process (plus)
