      Position Details
      Medical Educator with Expertise in Human Anatomy

      The University of South Alabama Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine is seeking a full-time medical science educator with expertise in teaching human anatomical sciences, for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate Professor, or Professor.
      Minimum Qualifications:
      · Ph.D., M.D./D.O., or equivalent terminal degree in the biomedical sciences
      · Evidence of substantial formal training in human anatomy

      Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants with one or more of the following additional attributes:
      · Experience in teaching clinically-integrated anatomy or other anatomical sciences (embryology, gross anatomy, histology, neuroanatomy)
      · Formal training or experience in educational theory, instructional design, and/or evaluation and assessment
      · A track record of scholarship related to biomedical or educational sciences
      · Experience with computer, virtual, or simulation-based instruction
      Physician candidates applying must be Board Certified (ABMS recognized), must qualify for an unrestricted Alabama Medical License, and must agree to obtain an unrestricted Alabama Medical License within 2 years of employment.
