This is entry level routine work enforcing animal control laws, ordinances, and regulations.Jurisdiction Starting Salary Mobile County $38,508 City of Mobile $36,716 City of Prichard $20,856 City of Chickasaw $24,132 City of Saraland $35,759 City of Satsuma $33,205
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, and a minimum of one year experience working with the public, preferably working with animals; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
Special Requirement
Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence. Must obtain Euthanasia Certification within the first six months of employment . Eligibles selected for appointment must meet the established medical and physical standards for the class of work. The medical examination must be by one of the physicians designated by the Personnel Board. Appointees must bear the cost of the examination.
