What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate the placement of animals through adoption, transfer, owner reclaims, and owner surrender prevention
- Utilize social media platforms to promote animal outcomes and engage with the community
- Provide excellent customer service and public relations to potential adopters and the public
- Maintain accurate records and manage communications related to animal placements
- Collaborate with team members to develop outreach strategies and events
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduation from a standard senior high school or successful completion of the GED test
- Minimum of three years of customer service, public relations, and clerical experience
- At least one year of experience in social media networking and communications
- Valid driver's license from state of residence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in animal welfare or shelter operations
- Familiarity with community outreach and engagement strategies
- Knowledge of animal behavior and care
- Proficiency in social media management tools
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
