What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor daily animal health surveillance
- Implement CM's Animal Health Surveillance Program
- Provide first-line basic care, feeding, and husbandry of research animals
- Ensure compliance with USDA, IACUC, and AAALAC policies and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School education or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in a veterinary surgery clinic or laboratory animal setting
- Familiarity with current Federal Laws and regulations regarding animal care and use
- Ability to follow through on multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences
- Certification as AALAS Laboratory Animal Technician (RLAT)
- Experience in an AAALAC Accredited Animal Care and Use Program or USDA licensed facility
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
