- oCertificate or qualification in Health and Social care
- oGood general education (GCSE/A-levels or equivalent)
- oIT/Computer training
- oExperience of working in a health care setting particularly with anticoagulation clinic in an outpatient setting.
- oCertificate in phlebotomy as well as experience with point of care near patient testing
- oAdministrative/management experience.
- oA good understanding of patient care.
- oCustomer care training
- oEffective communication skills (written and verbal)
- oIT literate with good keyboard and word processing skills.
- oAbility to maintain up to date and accurate records.
- oAble to work across organisational boundaries.
- oAble to work under pressure.
- oAble to work autonomously, managing own workload as well as part of the team.

Job summary
We are delighted to offer the opportunity for Band 4 Anticoagulation support worker.
The Anticoagulation support worker will co-ordinate and support the anticoagulation team to ensure excellent service is provided to all patients and service users.
Main duties of the job
Key areas of responsibility will be assisting in the smooth running of the Anticoagulation clinic which includes point of care (POC) near testing for patients as well as providing administrative support. The post holder should have a confident and professional attitude, good telephone manner, word processing skills and be able to use/learn clinical programmes (RAID/DAWN, Cerner). They must be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
