What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage a high-volume caseload while adhering to timeliness standards for appeals processing
- Conduct outreach to explain state actions related to Medicaid programs and facilitate prompt resolution of appeals
- Review and assess appeals for potential resolution in accordance with policy guidelines
- Document case notes meticulously to ensure accurate processing of appeals
- Participate actively in unit meetings and contribute to discussions aimed at improving workflow

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred areas include business administration, management, public health, health policy, paralegal, or legal assistant studies) and 2 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively
- Advanced writing and communication skills
- Ability to foster and maintain cohesive working relationships
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in a legal or administrative support role within healthcare or public services
- Familiarity with Medicaid programs and appeal processes
- Proficiency in case management software or legal documentation tools
