Job Description

- Building forms and smart templates within the EMR
- Build SQL Reports and Crystal Reports as requested to gather.
- Maintain master document outlining functionality within the electronic health record.
- Testing of documents and workflows.
- Help staff troubleshoot issues and work with EMR Support Staff and IT to resolve problems.
- Create and maintain a training manual and training videos on appropriate utilization of the system.
- Assists with providing training to staff as needed.
- Works closely with all staff of Horizons Mental Health Center, especially staff providing direct services to consumers. Works particularly close with direct service staff in screening services and stabilization services.
- .Manage software applications used by the agency in order to meet staff and consumer needs.
- In-depth, hands-on knowledge of and experience with various enterprise and desktop applications.
- Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
- Broad knowledge of programming languages and techniques.
- Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and end user procedures.
- Knowledge of trends in technology relating to software applications.
- Experience with building and maintaining databases for query and problem tracking.
- Ability to conduct research into software development and delivery concepts, as well as technical application issues.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Very strong customer service orientation.
- Good organization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Working knowledge of computer functions. Additional training on related software as needed to perform the job duties
- Proficient in SQL and Crystal Report writing

- Bachelor’s Degree in the field of computer science, information systems or 3 years equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of experience in information systems or computer science.

The functions and responsibilities are to work cooperatively with HIM Director to:
Assist in the management Horizons’ EMR, and other software applications to fit staff needs.
Evaluate workflows and ways to utilize the system to increase staff productivity.
Conduct testing, locate potential problems, and solve them in an efficient manner.
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
