Purpose

Senior Applications Engineer –Engineered Products focused on Trillium Flow Technologies Engineered Products for the Americas Municipal market with a focus on Termomeccanica Pompe pumping products. The individual will generate winning tenders and proposals for projects, provide technical selections

with supporting details, offer traditional US AE support, independently addressing technical and commercial issues in accordance with knowledge/experience and company policy, and possibly support Trillium Pumps Italy/Termomeccanica Pompe inquiries from Latin America.

Responsibilities

• Generate winning tenders and proposals for projects focused on engineered pumping products.
• Provide technical pump selections with supporting details utilizing online pump selection software.
• Offer traditional US Applications Engineer support, independently addressing technical and commercial issues in accordance with knowledge/experience and company policy.
• Coordinate sub-supplier sourcing and establish internal support relationships before orders.
• Assist in developing relationships with sub-suppliers, obtaining market intelligence to enhance bid success in the OE sector.
• Participate in local Kick-Off Meetings with the Sales Manager.
• Monitor and learn from E-procurement websites for each municipality to aid in the bidding process.
• Attend trade shows when necessary for product promotion and customer networking.
• Provide market intelligence feedback to the market team.
• Attend select sales calls when required.
• Participate in pre-bid job walk visits with Sales to thoroughly comprehend project requirements.
• Actively participate in the bid day process for General Contractor (GC) style bids.
• Attend equipment start-ups whenever feasible.
• Manage project pipeline, opportunities, and workload utilizing Salesforce.
• Travel up to 20% a month to support customer bid clarifications as required.
• Initially will require travel to Italy factory for training that could be multiple weeks.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business preferred.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years related experience centrifugal pump/rotating equipment application engineering with demonstrated achievements.
• Minimum 5 - 7 years total experience in centrifugal pumps/rotating equipment technical positions.
• Demonstrated Background and knowledge in vertical turbine and centrifugal pumps
• Strong understanding of centrifugal pump fundamentals.
• Spanish speaking is preferred.
