  The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

  As an Application Engineering Specialist (m/f/*) for 3M Display Materials and Systems Division working in the Automotive Business unit, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading global engagement with key customers and their supply chain providing technical service
  • Creating imaginative solutions to help customers resolve their design and engineering problems using 3M materials
  • Bridging the gap between business/sales teams and the product development team to identify opportunities and align priorities
  • Leading the way on translating customer needs into product ideation and requirements
  • Supporting product development and implementation of products in customers latest designs

  Your Skills and Expertise

  To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Advanced Experience/Skills in relevant market, former positions e. g.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation)
  • Proficient in English

  Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include

  • Master’s degree or higher in Physics, Optical Sciences or a related discipline from an accredited university
  • Experience in product or application development in automotive or consumer electronics
  • Experience with display/optics design
  • Proficiency in photometry, colorimetry and display optics
