- 45% – Production Support & Troubleshooting
- Serve as the go-to engineer for diagnosing and resolving production issues on Windows servers and SQL Server databases. Collaborate with operations, development, and cloud engineering teams to ensure application uptime and performance
- 25% – SRE / Reliability Engineering
- Take ownership of monitoring solutions, proactively identifying performance bottlenecks and system health concerns. Implement automated alerting, dashboards, and incident-response playbooks to streamline troubleshooting. Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and follow through with permanent resolutions.
- 15% – Automation & Infrastructure Management
- Design and develop scripts, tools, and processes (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) to automate tasks within the Windows and AWS environments. Contribute to Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) efforts, particularly using Terraform, to provision and maintain reliable, repeatable infrastructure.
- 10% – Application Deployments & Release Management
- Oversee and coordinate application deployments across development, test, and production environments. Ensure seamless releases by leveraging CI/CD pipelines, automating processes in Azure DevOps, and collaborating with teams to maintain consistent, high-quality builds.
- 5% – Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Develop clear, concise documentation for operational procedures, runbooks, and system architecture. Mentor junior team members and share best practices to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Windows Server Administration: Strong background in Windows OS, IIS, Active Directory, patching, and security hardening.

SQL Server Knowledge: Experience with database maintenance, troubleshooting replication issues, and optimizing performance.

AWS Services: Familiarity with core AWS resources (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM).

Automation Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell or similar scripting languages for automation tasks.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release management, and Infrastructure as Code .

Hands-on experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, or similar).

Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex production issues and drive them to resolution .

Comfortable working with incident management frameworks and performing root cause analysis.

Strong communication skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams (developers, operations, business stakeholders) .
