PURPOSE
Database developer (PLSQL) will focus on mid-size to large projects employing a working knowledge of SDLC, SCRUM, and Agile methodologies. The developer, working in concert with project management leadership, will be responsible for key deliverables with IT Business Partners and Stakeholders. Additionally, the Data Engineer will play a key role in requirements gathering, project documentation, application developments tasks and the translation of requirements for project teams both foreign and domestic. Further, the Data Engineer will be required to support the product release lifecycle. All development team members have a responsibility to maintain prescribed standards throughout the project lifecycle.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with engineers from disparate source systems for data acquisition, transformation and data quality.
- Understand the structure and meaning of data coming in the source systems through data profiling and applying business content to the data.
- Identify data quality issues and their root causes. Implement fixes and design data audits to capture the issues in the future.
- Implement indexing and partitioning strategies that maximize query performance based on how users access the data.
- Experience in Advanced PL SQL, bulk operations, application design experience.
- Maintaining database in Oracle PLSQL, Familiar in latest versions of OracleInterface with system architects, designers, and developers to ensure a thorough understanding of functions, technical, and performance requirements
Review/analyze test case results to ensure functionality meets documented specifications
Assist in the execution/analysis of integration, user acceptance, and performance testing
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Minimum of 5+ years SQL and PL/SQL experience, Snowflake
Hands on experience with Oracle Database, Procedures, Functions, Triggers and other database objects
Proficiency in Database SQL query development and data analysis
Good listening and interpretation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to lead tasks and contribute to multiple projects concurrently
Ability to collaborate with members of the client community as well as IT staff
Critical thinking with excellent judgment and initiativeMINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other qualitative discipline with specialization and experience in Oracle technology.
