- Research the background on issues currently affecting pharmacy supply chain, procurement, and drug utilization nationally.
- Identify, implement, and lead processes and methodology to address pressing issues within pharmacy supply chain, drug utilization, and procurement.
- Present recommendations to senior leadership.
- Completion of at least first year of Pharmacy school required or an in-progress bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business analytics, informatics, supply chain management, or a related field with a focus on data analysis and process improvement. Advanced degree preferred.
- Must have strong analytical, project management, & presentation skills.
- Candidate must demonstrate excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Action oriented with high initiative and ability to think independently.
- Flexible, adaptive, agile, resourceful, self-starter, team player.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting across the team and potentially with internal Vizient business partners, members, and suppliers.
- Program starts June 3 and ends August 9.
- 40 hours per week and pay is $24 per hour.
- Typical hours are 9 am CST – 5 pm CST Monday through Friday
- Two positions are available, one focused on pharmacy analytics and one focused on Vizient Pharmacy Aggregation Groups.
- Positions may be in person if located near a Vizient office, or remote. No travel is anticipated.

Key program information :
The program requires a full 10-week commitment by the intern to participate in all developmental experiences including formal training, mentoring, on-the-job learning, and opportunities to interact with senior leaders. The Intern group also organizes a summer community service project and has teambuilding activities outside of work.
