What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Obtain and record all authorizations needed for radiation treatment and services
- Contact insurance companies for non-payment of claims and submit medical records as needed
- Coordinate with physicians for peer-to-peer reviews and update authorization requests
- Review patient accounts for accuracy and ensure timely payment per protocol
- Resolve patient billing complaints and follow up on insurance claims for payment

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of two years of authorization and/or accounts receivable follow-up experience, preferably in a medical and/or oncology setting
- Ability to handle sensitive financial matters professionally
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and insurance companies
- Familiarity with medical billing and insurance processes

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a radiation department or oncology setting
- Knowledge of medical guidelines related to insurance policies
- Proficiency in using billing software and managing A/R reports
- Ability to work independently and follow up on necessary information
