What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor and resolve claims on the discharged not final billed (DNFB) list
- Ensure electronic filing of claims and identify opportunities for improvement in submission processes
- Follow up on unpaid Medicaid and Managed Medicaid claims in a timely manner
- Document follow-up efforts clearly in the accounts receivable system
- Communicate with patients, physician offices, and attorneys for additional information to process claims

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in patient registration, billing, or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of medical and insurance terms
- Ability to review and discuss HCFA billing with insurance or government agencies
- General computer knowledge, including experience with electronic filing

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working directly with Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and contractual adjustments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills demonstrating professionalism
- Familiarity with inpatient-only procedure lists and revenue cycle processes
