What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor claim status and maintain daily records for commercial insurance billing
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding accounts receivable and resolve billing issues
- Review EOBs and assist with patient billing inquiries through a billing queue
- Conduct outbound calls to insurance companies and patients to reconcile account issues
- Facilitate appeals to insurance companies for higher payments and manage correspondence from payers

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college education preferred
- 1-3 years of experience with receivables/collections in a healthcare setting
- Strong telephonic communication skills
- Ability to perform a variety of clerical and accounting functions
- Customer service experience and follow-through on account inquiries

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in billing and follow-up processes within the healthcare industry
- Familiarity with insurance claims processing and denial management
- Skills in managing credit balances or unassigned money on accounts
