      Job Description

      Now Hiring Security Custom Protection Officers in the areas of Kendall, FL

      As a Security Custom Protection Officers, you will serve and safeguard clients in a commercial building, office setting, or plaza. They provide access control and patrols while remaining visible and display exceptional customer service and communication skills.

      Pay Rate: $21.35/per hour

      Location: Kendall, FL

      Full Time: Monday- Friday (8am-2pm or 8am-5:30pm)

      *Must have (No Exceptions):

      • Active driver’s license
      • Valid Florida Security License D License and G License

      and at least ONE of the following:

      • U.S. Military Service (DD214 Honorable Discharge); or
      • Police/Corrections Academy Certification (U.S. only with Certificate); or
      • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice (120 College Credits)

      Requirements:

      • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
      • Required Valid Florida Licenses: Driver's License, Security Class D and G License
      • Possess a high school diploma with one of the following to be considered for this role:
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
      • Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs
      • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.
      • Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
      • Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
      • Monitors closed circuit television systems and alarms; Reports safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
      • Maintains awareness and familiarity with the site-specific operations performance manual and post orders.
      • Meets and continues to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers and specific protective device and weapons qualifications.
      • Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with both client employees and guests.
      • Answer questions and assist guests and employees; Answer phones or greet guests/ employees in a professional, welcoming manner.
      • Patrols the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
      • Could be required to work for multiple clients at multiple locations; covering special projects, call offs, vacations, and open shifts.
