ARPA-H User Experience (UX) Researcher to work in our
Remote office.

ECS is seeking talented and driven professionals to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). In this role, you will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H-enabling the agency to manage and provide oversight to advanced R&D efforts; help shape future R&D concepts, programs, and solutions; integrate and advance our nation's healthcare ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies; and enable the agency to expand its healthcare and scientific scope into yet unknown areas. As an UX Researcher, you will provide support and thought leadership to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem. This role supports the Office of Information Technology and Data Innovation (ITDI).
What you will do:
Serve as an UX Expert:
- Conduct in-depth user experience research using both qualitative (e.g., user interviews, usability testing) and quantitative (e.g., surveys, analytics) methodologies to gather actionable insights to inform the development and execution of user feedback integration that align with ARPA-H organizational goals, web goals, and project timelines.
- Utilize you deep understanding and knowledge of UX to analyze, interpret, and visualize user behavior data from various sources, and synthesize findings in actionable recommendations to support data-driven decision-making.
- Support branding and brand strategy initiatives by ensuring UX design aligns with overall ARPA-H brand identity and user needs.
- Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams, ARPA-H leadership, and stakeholders to foster innovation and ensure UX research finding are effectively implemented into designs.
Stay current with advancements:
- Actively track and analyze new research and technologies in this field.
- Identify and propose emerging methodologies and technologies that could enhance the program's progress.
- Participate in technical discussions and presentations, contributing your expertise to the program's overall knowledge base.
Collaborate effectively within a diverse team:
- Build strong relationships with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors involved in the program.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $160,000
General Description of Benefits
