      About the Opportunity

      Art Directors are always looking to make connections that others may not see. They work closely with our copywriters and strategists to understand the audiences and insights fully while guiding designers in the final art production.

      We are seeking a creative and experienced Art Director with a broad background in digital communications, advertising, and UI design. The ideal candidate will support our team in developing compelling visual concepts and campaigns that align to a brand strategy. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of innovative and effective designs across all digital platforms.

      • Deep conceptual thinking in visual, motion, and interaction design
      • Strong sense for design and visual brand language
      • Work collaboratively with designers and copywriters to bring concepts to life
      • Take initiative to elevate the work and introduce innovative solutions
      • Transform strategic insights into concepts that move target audiences
      • Understand business goals and a client’s vision
      • Have strong design sensibilities, organization, and attention to detail
      • Communicate concepts in a clear, consistent, and transparent manner
      • Manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver on time.
      • Guide Entry-Level Copywriters and Art Directors on our team’s conceptual process

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      Art Direction

      • Create work that meets and exceeds project goals
      • Seek out feedback from the internal team
      • Maintain open, honest, and trusting relationships
      • Understand, interpret, and implement team and client feedback
      • Support client interactions on small-mid accounts with oversight as needed
      • Support client interactions on larger accounts
      • Identify and troubleshoot project-based issues

      Creative Leadership

      • Seek out opportunities for self-development
      • Mentor junior production designers and proactively and positively review work for polished execution
      • Proactively alert team of foreseen time issues
      • Effectively manage administration such as time reporting and expenses
      • Look for efficiencies to increase margin without decreasing the quality of work
      • Identify topics within the industry and share with the team
      • Willingness to travel for client work as needed depending on travel restrictions (~10%)

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design or related field
      • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
      • A strong portfolio that demonstrates your graphic design thinking across a variety of design formats (e.g. brand identity systems, print, illustration, motion design, digital interface design, email marketing)
      • Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts (e.g. storytelling, storyboards, mood boards, etc.)
      • Significant experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
      • Experience with user interface design processes and methodology within mobile and desktop environments
