The Position:

An Assembler performs multiple tasks using a variety of hand-held pneumatic tools and manufacturing equipment. Also, Assemblers build component assemblies, as well as install and assemble semi-trailers on a production line.

Requirements:

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and other measuring tools.
• Ability to work with hands and to work on mechanical tasks by following supervisor’s instruction.
• Ability to follow instructions, given either verbally or in writing.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• A favorable background screening, Drug Screening, and proof of work authorization in the United States is required for employment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform, and remember how to perform, multiple manual assembly tasks from day to day.
• Follow standard operating procedures or supervisor’s instructions when doing tasks.
• Look for potential cost savings in the work process.
• Help keep scrap and waste to a minimum and be efficient in use of all supplies.
• Perform manual tasks in a way that meets or exceeds the required production level.
• Inspect finished products as required by standard operating procedures.

Great Dane Jonesboro normally operates on a 4 day schedule, Monday through Thursday, with occasional Friday or Saturday work as production needs dictate. Our 2nd shift typically begins at 5:00pm and ends at 3:30am. Some departments may work beyond these hours as needed. Please indicate your availability for either shift when applying.

Starting wage for the Production Assembler position is $16.00/hour with a shift premium of $1.00/hour. Rapid promotion can typically be expected within the first year of employment.
