      Your role

      Design, build and run Investment Guideline Monitoring technology services for colleagues and clients within Asset Management

      Key Responsibilities:

      • design, develop, and improve the Investment Guideline Monitoring and Cash Flow Management products and technology services we provide to our business
      • team leadership and management of the engineers within the Investment Guideline Monitoring Pod, ensuring compliance with UBS policies and procedures
      • apply a broad range of software engineering techniques, from analysing user needs and developing new features to automated testing, CI/CD and other DevOps practices
      • ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
      • build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
      • learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
      • work in an agile way as part of multi-disciplinary teams, participate in agile ceremonies, define priorities as part of the big room planning governance and collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and others
      • stakeholder management with your business Product Owners, co-develop the product roadmap to include both technical mandatory delivery and business feature delivery ensuring the applications remain resilient, performant and stable and deliver the capability outcomes as prioritised by the business
      • share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, act as a hiring manager and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities
      • act as the Contract Management for 3 external providers of technology capabilities used within the team, establish a working governance structure in line with UBS requirements, including invoice management, service reviews and escalation management

      Your team

      You’ll be working in the Asset Management Trade & Cash Management Crew as part of the Digital Core Services Stream within the Asset Management Technology division. Specially you will be the Chapter Lead and line manager for technology software engineers. Additionally you will lead the Investment Guideline Monitoring and Cashflow Management delivery pods who provide the technical development to support Investment Guideline Monitoring and Cashflow Management business process and partner with their business stakeholders. Your team are globally locating in Pune, Wroclaw and London. In addition as a chapter Lead you will play an important role in supporting the careers of technologists

      Your expertise

      • 15+ years of experience in the Technology delivery and execution
      • experienced in agile delivery methodologies
      • prior experience in .NET development or similar, Oracle Database, PGSQL Database, MQ and Kafka middleware is desirable
      • experience working with multi-location teams, multiple business partners and stakeholders
      • portfolio governance and management, resource planning
      • ability to hit deadlines and manage to a budget
      • experience of run-the-bank and change-the-bank delivery and / or knowledge of Sentinel or Investment Guideline Monitoring technology would be an advantage
      • ability to build relationships across a global organization, build trust and influence internal and external stakeholders
      • good analytical and problem-solving skills, quick learner with good attention to detail
      • strong communication skills, both written and verbal, fluent in English
