Job Description
- Req#: 50201
- Upload raw material data from the weighbridge system into SAP
- Issue of certain raw materials not on BOMs to cost centres
- Timber balancing (Saiccor weighbridge compared to Forests calculations)
- Prepare weekly raw materials usage reports for relevant stakeholders
- Forward weighbridge reports on waste/raw materials as required
- Manage petty cash
- Participate in Raw Materials and Finished goods stock counts
- Prepare monthly General Ledger, Customer and Vendor Reconciliations
- Reconciliation and confirmation of foreign inter-company balances
- Prepare tax pack schedules for the Tax department
- Assist with capex-related transactions
- BCom degree in Accounting/Costing or a relevant qualification
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Assistant Accountant to maintain accurate and timeous receipting of raw materials, efficient preparation of inventory reconciliations and recording of various accounting transactions whilst adhering to financial deadlines.
