      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide legal counsel and representation to various state entities including the Legislature and Governor
      - Handle a wide range of civil litigation matters on behalf of the State of Wisconsin
      - Collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys in case preparation and management
      - Conduct in-depth legal research and analyze statutes and case law
      - Draft judicial decisions, briefs, and other legal documents as needed

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Must be a member in good standing with the Wisconsin State Bar upon appointment
      - Experience in conducting in-depth legal research
      - Proven ability to analyze statutes and case law
      - Experience writing judicial decisions or briefs as the primary drafter
      - Oral advocacy experience in any court or legal presentation

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in one or more of the following areas of law: employment, civil rights, prisoner litigation, or medical malpractice
      - Previous clerkship or work for a court at the appellate or federal level
      - Experience serving as counsel in complex litigation in state or federal trial court
      - Familiarity with discovery and pre-trial tasks including document review and conducting depositions
      - Experience drafting summary judgment and merits filings
