Assistant Building Control Surveyor
PO1-3 (Link graded – progression based upon annual assessment): Starting salary £38,037 to £45,711 pa incl LW depending on fulfilment of job description criteria. The post’s salary attracts a market supplement of 7% per month (£40,699.59 to £48,910.77)

Lambeth Building Control is looking for an ambitious, motivated, and enthusiastic person to take on an Assistant Surveyor role. The successful candidate will cover a range of duties and challenges, including examination of new applications and technical submissions, demolition notices, and site inspections of on-site building works under the Building Regulations, as well as temporary and special structures under the London Building Act.
There will be further opportunities to assist in taking enforcement action against unauthorised and non-compliant works and to deal with Dangerous Structures under the guidance and mentoring of the established Building Control Team and Principal Surveyors.
Short listed candidates will hold, or be currently working towards, a relevant degree in building surveying, or similar related field, or have a minimum of 12 months experience working within the construction industry.
