Job Description

- Preparation of monthly financial reporting package
- Supervise employees who work under the controller in preparing financial reports and budgets, as well as providing mentorship and coaching
- Monitor a company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs
- Understand the financials of a company in order to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing; Detect and resolve any accounting issues or errors
- Variance analysis of revenue and expense accounts
- Preparation of annual profit plan and related schedules
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and sub-ledgers
- Preparation and entry of journal entries into general ledgers
- Other duties and projects as assigned
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 7-10 years related experience
- CPA required
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Microsoft GP Dynamics and Management Reporter experience a plus
- Must be a detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently to meet deadlines

Description
Cooper is looking for an Assistant Controller for a growth role! The Assistant Controller is a strategic business partner that wears multiple hats at Cooper and is responsible for the accounting of financial results and optimizing the overall controls, processes, and procedures to support future growth. The position reports to the VP of Finance/Controller and works closely with senior leadership and executives, accounting staff and the CFO in the financial reporting, planning, and analysis of various business units.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
