What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead outreach, coordination, and technical assistance efforts related to coastal adaptation and resilience
- Facilitate and conduct community-engaged research that promotes inclusive resilience
- Manage existing ICAR engagement initiatives while developing new proposals and projects
- Communicate effectively about coastal adaptation and resilience to various stakeholders
- Build partnerships and collaborate with community members and academic faculty

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduate degree in a field related to disaster and climate resilience and adaptation
- Considerable knowledge of hazards and climate change impacts, including erosion and sea-level rise
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with academic faculty and community stakeholders
- Skill in building partnerships, networking, and group facilitation

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Ph.D. in a related field such as environmental sciences or public policy
- Documented experience in public engagement with historically marginalized communities
- Working experience in areas such as climate resilience or disaster recovery
- Familiarity with grant applications and successful grant management
