What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing nursing practice and service operations
- Implement and manage infection control prevention protocols
- Conduct performance appraisals for nursing staff and support their professional development
- Monitor and participate in resident care planning and quality improvement initiatives
- Supervise hiring and orientation processes for per diem nursing staff

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, management, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of supervisory or management experience in healthcare
- Current registered nurse licensure in New York State
- Infection Prevention Certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- Clinical expertise in nursing practice and long-term care settings
