WTWH Media seeks an enthusiastic, motivated, and detail-oriented Assistant Editor to work on our Drug Discovery & Development ( www.drugdiscoverytrends.com ) and R&D World ( www.rdworldonline.com ) brands.

This is an excellent entry-level REMOTE opportunity for a candidate passionate about science, technology, research, and the biopharma field. You'll translate complex scientific and technological advances into clear, engaging, and accurate content tailored for researchers, scientists, engineers, and senior R&D professionals. In this role, you'll draw from your strong writing and editing foundation while developing skills in audience engagement and digital content strategy.

We value candidates eager to learn and collaborate, particularly in using performance data (from website analytics, social media, newsletters) alongside senior editors to understand audience behavior and iteratively refine our content approach. Demonstrated interest or foundational experience in data analysis techniques or familiarity with tools beyond basic office software (e.g., basic understanding of APIs, light scripting in Python for things like downloading academic literature or analyzing tabular data) is a plus but not required. Key Responsibilities

• Write and edit news articles, features, and other content for the R&D World and Drug Discovery & Development websites and associated newsletters and publications.
• Source and pitch relevant story ideas covering research trends, technological news, and industry news in the R&D and life sciences sectors.
• Support senior editors and the broader team with various editorial tasks and projects.
• Attend trade shows or events as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field; OR equivalent professional journalism experience.
• 2+ years professional experience in a similar role.
• Strong writing and proofreading skills.
• Experience with MS Office, WordPress or other publishing tools; experience with Photoshop and other graphics programs is a plus.
• Familiarity with SEO and social media platforms.
• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects, solve problems, and consistently meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Readiness for continuous improvement and professional development; proactively share recommendations and new opportunities; bring forward suggestions for improvements in ways of working.
