      Job summary

      Velindre University NHS Trust - Assistant Management Accountant (Research, Development & Innovation)

      The post provides financial management support & advice to the Research Development & Innovation Division of Velindre University NHS Trust.

      This is a Fixed term /Secondment for 18 months due to funding. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.

      The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

      Main duties of the job

      The Key elements of the post include

      Ad hoc costing work (including the costing of clinical trials)

      Production of an accurate monthly financial position for RD&I

      Supporting the RD&I management team on financial matters.

      Responsible for investigating and analysing material variances between budget and expenditure

      Prepare and upload monthly accrual journals, and prepayments.

      You should be IT literate, possess intermediate skill level of Excel & Word, be able to work to defined deadlines and an excellent communicator.
