What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate activities of the patient care team and monitor the quality of care delivered during shifts
- Conduct daily rounds to identify and address patient, family, and physician concerns
- Assess, coach, and evaluate staff’s level of clinical practice and ensure compliance with training requirements
- Interface with physicians to ensure effective communication regarding patient care
- Provide direct patient care and remain informed about the status of all patients during shifts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; a BSN must be obtained within three years of hire
- Minimum of three years of direct care RN nursing experience in an acute care setting
- Professional certification in a clinical or leadership specialty within two years of hire
- Must meet all competency requirements defined by the unit (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field within five years of hire
- Charge Nurse or supervisory experience
- Membership in a professional organization within three months of hire
