What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and edit a publishing list of approximately 25 children's titles per year
- Collaborate with licensors to brainstorm new book and series ideas
- Hire authors and edit their manuscripts
- Write title information sheets and web copy, ensuring clarity and appeal
- Present individual titles and book series at sales conferences

What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2 years or more of children's editorial experience
- Strong interest in and enthusiasm for licensed book publishing
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in presenting titles at conferences or similar events
- Familiarity with various children's book genres and market trends
- Strong creative writing skills for developing engaging content
- Knowledge of the publishing process from conception to distribution
