      Compensation: $24/hour

      Job Summary: The Assistant Production Electrician assists the Production Electrician by working with the Lighting Designer and production team during preproduction and all event load-ins to design and install all lighting systems in accordance railroad safety standards. They assist in creating the shop orders for the lighting equipment. They help oversee all shop prep of equipment to create working lighting systems based on the designer's specifications. They support and train the local crew operators and production teams for each assigned venue.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
      • Work with the Production Electrician, Lighting Designer, Production Managers and production staff to oversee prep, install, and maintenance of lighting systems
      • Help create all necessary documentation for onsite electrics crews to load in lighting equipment
      • Help specify and plan all necessary details of the lighting design to create a working system
      • Help oversee all shop prep of lighting equipment
      • Work with the production staff during load out to see that event space is returned appropriately
      • Help be responsible for seeing that the lighting systems are maintained with artistic integrity through the event
      • Work with the production staff during technical rehearsals to incorporate last minute changes
      • Become familiar with railroad safety rules
      • Communicates regularly with REP staff with regards to creative and practical ideas and decisions as well as project statuses
      • Work with the entire event team to maintain a positive, enjoyable, and rewarding environment for all staff and guests
      • Other duties as assigned

      Working on The Polar Express Train Ride is unlike anything you will ever do. This immersive experience is entirely unique to Rail Events Productions.
