What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform clinical assessments and assist with call for the Prevent2Protect program funded by the Michigan Department of Education
- Provide clinical supervision to residents and participate in teaching residents and medical students
- Cover call at one of the affiliated inpatient units, including two weeks annually on the adult psychiatric unit
- Engage in educational programming to enhance the capacity of medical students to care for patients
- Participate in research and community-based intervention programs related to mental health
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Board certified or eligible MD or DO degree
- Successful completion of a Child/Adolescent Fellowship program
- Possess a physician license in the state of Michigan
- Demonstrate a history of clinical responsibilities, particularly with children/adolescents displaying suicidal or homicidal ideologies
- Excellent communication skills

- Strong interest in working in an academic setting such as a university or teaching hospital
- Prior experience supervising residents and/or medical students
