What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Teach 12 credits per semester across undergraduate and graduate courses in both in-person and virtual formats
- Supervise student teaching internships to ensure practical experience
- Participate in program development, review, and management to enhance educational offerings
- Maintain an active research and publication agenda to contribute to the field of education
- Build and maintain relationships with local educators and school administrators for collaboration
What is Required (Qualifications):
- PhD/EdD in Education or related field (completion by August 2026 acceptable)
- Minimum of three years of PK-12 teaching experience
- Demonstrated teaching excellence in an academic setting
- Expertise in curriculum and instruction development
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Terminal degree in Special Education or Curriculum & Instruction
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Knowledge of current special education laws, policies, and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in an academic environment
- Strong presentation and group facilitation skills
