Job summary
Assistant Psychologist Starting Salary £21,320 per annum Full Time Merida Newmarket, Suffolk Cambian Group, the UKs largest provider of specialist services in childrens residential care, education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for dedicated, caring individuals to join the company as an Assistant Psychologist. The posts will require someone with previous experience of working in CAMHS settings preferably with experience of working with children who are Looked After.

You will be a strong team player, confident, motivated and well organised. You will have a good understanding of the role of therapeutic boundaries and the importance of evidence-based interventions. Patience and commitment are essential, but above all youll be someone with a genuine desire to help others. We are looking for someone with a good degree in Psychology and preferably previous experience within an Assistant Psychologist role. About us
Cambian is one of the largest providers of specialist education and behavioural health services for children in the UK. Our services have a specific focus on individuals who present with high severity needs. We provide a broad range of specialist services across England. These services include specialist education schools and colleges for both day and residential learners, residential care homes and a therapeutic fostering service. Our specialist education schools and colleges support children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger Syndrome (AS), moderate to severe learning disabilities, associated challenging behaviours and complex needs. Our specialist residential care homes support children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and associated complex needs. We provide care, therapy and education for a discrete cohort of needs within these homes; this includes provisions for children who have experienced complex trauma (neglect and abuse), those who have been sexually exploited, and those with a learning disability. These homes are all supported by specialists schools to support their individual educational needs. We also run a therapeutic fostering service through which we are able to support children with a variety of complex needs within a family environment

Cambian Meridais a new service and will consists of five Registered childrens homes, one being a two bedded high dependency provision operating 52 weeks of the year alongside on-site educational support.
We are seeking academically strong candidates to support and enhance the psychological care of children and young people within Cambian Healthcare by assisting qualified psychologists in the delivery and evaluation of evidence-based interventions that meet Cambian Healthcare objectives, national strategic and policy guidelines, commissioner requirements and user and carer needs and expectations. The role involves the administration, scoring and report writing of psychometric assessments, standardised risk assessments, clinical formulation, support/consultation to staff and individual and group interventions.
Full induction training is given. You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and just like our young people and Service Users, you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support. Clinical supervision is an important part of the development and additional training will be supported.
