As an Assistant Reinsurance Manager, you will work alongside our Reinsurance and Credit Manager to manage reinsurance contracts, broker relationships to facilitate a smooth implementation of the the sale of our brokered commercial business to RSA Insurance.

      This is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

      The Role:

      In the heart of Capital Management, we're dedicated to the careful management of reinsurance. As our Assistant Reinsurance Manager, you'll play a key role in providing data and information to reinsurers, overseeing claims notifications and recoveries, and acting as a point of contact for reinsurance queries.

      Key Accountabilities:

      • Take responsibility for producing data and information for renewal submissions, internal management, and contract performance monitoring.
      • Oversee and assist with claim notifications and recoveries, working collaboratively with various teams.
      • Act as a primary point of contact for reinsurance queries, managing special acceptances and arranging facultative reinsurance as needed to meet our business objectives.
      • Ensure that the Reinsurance team complies with the Reinsurance Minimum Standard, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
      • Be accountable for documenting processes, controls, and contracts related to reinsurance.
      • Stay up to date with reinsurance market developments and develop an in-depth understanding of DLG's reinsurance arrangements, particularly the NIG-RSA quota share.

      What we’re looking for:

      You’ll need to be experienced in the field of reinsurance, from understanding reinsurance structures and key terms through to practical management of contracts.

      You’ll need to have knowledge and understanding of reinsurance accounting, risk management concepts and be able to , demonstrate thoroughness and organisational skills.
